Where Canada’s

Conservatives Connect

Established in 1882 by friends and supporters of Sir John A. Macdonald, Canada’s first Prime Minister, the Albany Club is the vibrant home of Canadian Conservatives and business leaders.  A testament to the strength and legacy of its values, the Club is the only remaining politically-minded private club in the country and continues to flourish, with over 850 members. The Club is a place to dine, work, relax and connect with other professionals – who share similar values – in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. With its elegant interior and timeless architecture, the Club is a historic jewel in the heart of downtown Toronto.

It’s a distinguished and comfortable home-away-from-home for all of its members and their guests. Since the Club’s inception, members have influenced the growth of business and politics throughout Canada and the world. New members are welcomed by people from various industries and professions – from law to finance, government relations and marketing – all bringing their unique talents to help each other make a difference in the world.

1882 Society

The Albany Club has always flourished as a result of the generosity and good will of its members. Our 1882 Society aims to recognize the members who ensure the Club’s continuity through their generous donations. Members who include a bequest in their wills to the Albany Club of $1,000 or more, will become Charter Members of the 1882 Society, named after and in recognition of the founding date of the Club. Charter Members of the 1882 Society will have their names written on a wall of honour as well as recognized at our special events, including the Annual Sir John A. Macdonald Dinner.

For any members interested in the 1882 Society and contributing to the Club,
