November 23, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
VIRTUAL JOINT EVENT – Evolution of the U.S.-Canada Relationship (with University at Buffalo, Rideau Club, HEC Montréal and the Saint James Club).
The relationship between the United States and Canada has been critically important on a number of levels – national security, bilateral trade and economic growth, science and technology, the health, and much more. The past 20 months has impacted the future evolution of relations between the two governments. From new administration in Washington, the Liberal government’s re-election in Ottawa, and the re-opening of the border after a lengthy closure.
As both countries look to support a strong economic recovery in the wake of the global pandemic, the need for effective and mutually beneficial cooperation now become more important than ever before. This session will examine how the relationship between the United States and Canada is expected to evolve and change in the post-pandemic world. It will feature a panel discussion by experts drawn from both countries who will present their personal perspectives on key aspects of the overall topic.
