Michael Bonner is a former Senior Policy Advisor for the Hon. Jason Kenney, and current communications consultant at Allan Bonner Communications Management. His new book talks about Iranian history from the earliest times to the coming of Islam in 651 AD. The main focus of his talk is on dynastic and military history. Dr. Bonner discusses the pre-Islamic and Islamic identities of Iran and how they continue to inform Iranian nationalism to this day. He also looks for lessons from Iranian history, which we can use today to understand this country that has been very prominent in history and still prominent in world dynamics today.
