We also carry a selection of whisky, including Single Malt Scotch whiskies together with a selection of premium Canadian whisky, to pay homage to our founder, Sir John A Macdonald. This year, Prospective Members were invited to a series of whisky tastings hosted by Club member Jan Westcott, CEO of Spirits Canada.
Cocktail of the Month
The April Sour
1.5 oz. of Apricot Brandy, 1 Oz. of Simple Syrup, 1 oz. Lime Juice.
2-3 Maraschino Cherry’s, 1 strawberry, 1 egg white and bitters, sprig of mint and loose leaves 2-3
- Cut the strawberry into small pieces and remove the greens, Add the cherries (remove stalks) and strawberries to the shaker. Toss in some mint leaves, and a few dashes of the bitters. Muddle.
- Add the Brandy, lime juice, simple syrup and egg whites to the shaker and shake well to combine.
- Pour through strainer into a prepared chilled martini glass. Garnish with mint sprig and serve.
